Ag In The Bible – Refiner’s Fire

February 26, 2012

~ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.” Luke 6:45

Sometimes being different is good. Sometimes the imperfect animal can be the perfect solution. For example, the Jacob sheep does not conform to modern agriculture. The extreme horns, size, color and fleece are a disadvantage. However, they are hardy sheep that can give a good fiber without a lot of feed.

Like many of the primitive breeds, they are different in many ways. Many believe these are the spotted, or speckled, sheep referred to in Genesis. They served perfectly. Those who keep them certainly are different – set apart – from others.

Do we stand out – or blend in?
