Special Project Progress

April 1, 2012

It’s been a year of work into the bunnypig project, and there isn’t all progress but we’ll take it where we can. For one, they are bigger but we don’t have the temperament expected. They’re flighty, so we have to feed and check on them at night when things are quiet.

They are larger, and able to coat a small child with one pelt. There is a bigger loin, and ease of care with them being on the ground, but like the rabbit ancestors prefer to stay dry. This conflicts with the pig side that likes mud – mud + fur = mess so keeping them dry is important!

It’s tough being a pioneer in the development as we don’t know quite what to expect. But progress is progress, and one day we’ll get to that ideal bunnypig goal!
